What is Lillypad?
A home-maintenance schedule and home record. Answer three questions — home age, home type, zip code — and get a free seasonal maintenance plan tuned to your house and climate. The paid plan ($59/year) adds Fix It Friday, a weekly email built around your actual home.
Where do the schedule's tasks come from?
A library of common home-maintenance tasks, tuned to your climate zone. Every task and every date in it is reviewed and edited by a person before it can appear in anyone's schedule — wrong freeze dates cost real money, so nothing goes in on autopilot.
How do I get my schedule?
Go to the schedule generator and answer three questions: home age, home type, and zip code. Your seasonal schedule appears right away, and you can print it or have it emailed to you. Tasks appear as our editorial review completes, so if your schedule looks short, check back soon.
Do I need an account?
Not for the schedule — that's free with no login. An account (also free) saves your home so your schedule is always one click away, and it's where households live. Sign in at lillypad.app/account with an emailed link; there is no password to remember.
How do I log a finished task?
Open your schedule while signed in. The To-do list shows every task with an “Add to log” button; clicking it records the date and who did it in your Maintenance log — the second tab on that page. The log is the permanent record of your house, everyone in your household sees it, and it comes with you in every export. Tasks stay on the to-do list after you log them because most of them recur — the card shows when it was last done.
Can I filter or sort my to-do list?
Yes. On your schedule you can filter by season, by difficulty, or by the things you own, and sort by quickest or easiest first — handy when you want to knock out a few small wins on a Saturday morning.
What is “your home's stuff”?
The appliances and systems your house runs on. Add them under your home's stuff with an install year and your schedule speaks specifically — “your furnace, installed 2019” instead of “the furnace.” For anything we don't have tasks for yet, set your own reminder and it appears on your schedule when it's due.
What are projects?
The bigger jobs: a bathroom refresh, a new water heater, the fence. Each project holds its story, step-by-step plans with target dates, photos, who did the work, and what it cost. Find them under your projects when signed in. Cost information is private to your household — it never appears on any shared or public page, and we test that automatically on every release.
Can I get my data out?
Always, in two formats. Your account page has a one-click export that downloads everything you've put into Lillypad as a single JSON file, and a printable PDF — your home's record laid out for a binder, with your maintenance log, projects, costs, and equipment. No fee, no waiting period, no phone call. That's a promise we build against: an automated test checks the export stays complete every time we ship.
What's a household?
The people who share your house's upkeep. Invite someone by email from your account page and they see the same home data you do — the schedule, the records, all of it. Invite people you trust. You can leave a household at any time.
What emails will I get?
One kind: the digest. Weekly on the paid plan (Fix It Friday), monthly on the free plan. It carries a couple of seasonal tasks, your approaching project steps, and one thing worth knowing about your house. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately, and unsubscribing never touches your records.
How does the paid plan work?
$59 a year, annual only, charged when you upgrade — the free plan is how you try Lillypad. Upgrade from the pricing page or your account. Cancel anytime from your account page in two clicks: your paid features run through the period you paid for, then you move to the free plan with everything intact. Unhappy in the first 30 days? Full refund, no questions.
